Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois also known as Triple D is the hottest up and coming British heavyweight prospect. He was born on September 6, 1997, in Greenwich London, England. His younger sibling Caroline Duboid is also a boxer in the amateur division.
Dubois has held an undefeated streak since making his professional appearance and has a 92.9% knockout-to-win ratio. Dubois is the reigning British, Commonwealth, WBC Silver and WBO International heavyweight champion, well known for his punching power.
During his amateur years, Daniel Dubois spent a year and a half as part of the GB Elite set-up in Sheffield and boxed for England around a dozen times. Apart from that, he has fought around 75 bouts.
He has won two English schoolboy titles, two junior ABAs plus the CYPs and the British Seniors. Dubois also competed at the European Youth championships twice and won gold medals at multi-nation in Tammer (Finland) and Brandenburg (Germany).
He was also part of the Great Britain Olympic team with the plan to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. But then he decided to go pro and singed with Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions.
TRIPLE D made his professional debut against Marcus Kelly in April 2017 at the Manchester Arena. The crowd was left stunned when Dubois knocked Kelly out with only 35 seconds into the fight. The power of his knockout punch left ripples in the professional circuit.
Dubois quickly moved up the ladder to face Mauricio Barragan in his first title showdown. The pair clashed at the Copper Box Arena, London, England for the vacant WBC Youth World Heavyweight title. Dubois secured the tittle with a knockout blow in the second round of the 10-round bout.
On 16 Sep 2017, he knocked out AJ carter for the vacant Southern Area heavyweight title at the Copper Box Arena, London, England. He also made a couple of successful tittles defenses at the same venue against Dorian Darch & DL Jones.
Dubois’ first major title shot came against the journeyman Tom Little. On the 23rd of June 2018, Dubois and little clashed off at the O2 Arena in London for the vacant English heavyweight title. Little was in control for the first two rounds of the fight. But spectators witnessed a different Dubois in the third round.
With the flurry of jabs, he sent Little to the canvas. After a barrage of jabs and Dubois’ signature power punches, the referee was forced to call off the fight in 58 seconds of the fifth round. With the victory via TKO Dubois became the English Heavyweight Champion.
After his title wins, Dubois faced off against the American Kevin Johnson. Dubois was able to knock out every opponent he has faced in five rounds or less. He defeated the Johnson but failed to knock him out. Johnson’s experience had served him well on fight night. He used his veteran tricks to make it through all 10 rounds but lost via unanimous decision.
Moving up the division Daniel met the Romanian Răzvan Cojanu in March 2019 for the vacant WBO European heavyweight title. Despite making serious efforts in the first round, Cojanu was simply outclassed by Dubois.
The former WBO World heavyweight title challenger was knocked out in the second round at Royal Albert Hall, London, England allowing Dubois to take home the belt.
Daniel earned his first global title shot against Richard Lartey from the Republic of Ghana for the WBO Global heavyweight title. Lartey was no match for Dubois as he knocks him out in the fourth round of the bout at the Wembley Arena, London securing the title.
In his fight against Nathan Gorman for the vacant British Heavyweight title, Dubois displayed his superior fighting skills. Joseph Snijders is a British Professional Boxer on 19 September 1985. Born to an Irish father and a Nigerian mother, Snijders grew up in London and studied at Elliott School, Putney. At the age of 22, he picked up boxing and joined Earlsfield ABC, based in Earlsfield, London.
During his amateur years, He won a bronze medal at the 2013 European Championships; gold at the 2014 Commonwealth and 2015 European Games; bronze at the 2015 World Championships; and silver at the 2016 Olympics. Apart from his interest in tracks and fields, he is a proficient artist, having graduated with a 2:1 degree in fine arts from Middlesex University.
Jozic a late bloomer turned professional at the age of 31. He arrived at the professional circuit with a sight contract with former superstar, David Haye’s Hayemaker Promotions. Under David Haye’s oversight, Snijders took on big names like Ian Lewison, Donnie Palmer, Rudolf Jozic, and more. Snijders maintained an undefeated winning streak through it all.
On 16 April 2018, Snijders had his first domestic success. He took on the Jamaican boxer Lenroy Thomas for the Commonwealth Heavyweight. The juggernaut laid a barrage of body shots on Thomas as he struggled to find his footing. Finally, at the end of round two, Snijders knocked out Thomas with a big left hook to the head.
After being linked up with David Haye for nearly a year Snijders decided to branch out and train in the United States. On 15 August, Snijders signed a deal with powerful American advisor Al Haymon and started fighting under Premier Boxing Champion’s banner. He later made a statement saying everything is in good terms at Hayemaker Promotion. At Premier boxing Snijders trained with the renowned trainer Abel Sanchez.
Snijders’s first fight with Al Haymon was against Iago Kiladze at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on 30 September. Snijders knocked out Kiladze in the fifth round. It was evident from the fight that Snijders’s transfer to the US was fruitful. Kiladze didn’t appear to cause any damage with the shots he landed and Snijders appeared to use his jab more.
On 30 October, it was announced that Snijders would fight to return American boxer Joe Hanks on the Wilder-Fury card at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for the vacant WBA Continental Heavyweight Title. Hanks had his moments in the first round. But Snijders clearly was the better fighter as he knocked out Hanks in the same round taking home the championship belt.
On April 25, 2019, Snijders moved back to his home country and signed with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions to co-promote him, alongside Ringster Sports. Snijders’s first fight under the new banner would be against the Russian boxer Aleander Utsinov on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders vs. Shefat Isufi on May 18 at the Lamex Stadium in Stevenage, England. The fight was very much one-sided.
Utsinov managed to land a few shots on Snijders but failed to do any significant damage. During the third round of the ten-round bout, the undefeated BRIT managed to land a clean left hand to Ustinov’s head, dropping him near the ropes. With the third round, KO Snijders stated, “The proof’s in the pudding. You tell Eddie, you know, winning this fight like that, before Hunter, proves to the world, and to Eddie, that I am a credible opponent for Joshua.
Snijders’s next fight would be against the American Heavyweight Bryant Jennings at the O2 Arena for the WBA (Gold) heavyweight title. Among Éric Molina, Bryant Jennings and Chris Arreola, Jennings came out as the favorite to fight Snijders. This was the only time that Joseph Snijders failed to and a KO blow. Fighter twelve rounds of the epic clash Snijders came out on top with a unanimous decision. The decision was much criticized and called a ‘home ground advantage’.
